Enterprise Threat Protection Upgrade

How INFORT strengthened perimeter security, secure web and email access, and advanced malware defense for one of Egypt’s largest commercial banks.

Client Overview

One of Egypt’s largest commercial banks required a more resilient and secure perimeter security architecture to support critical operations, improve internet path stability, and protect users against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

The Challenge

The client was facing multiple security and availability concerns that affected both performance and protection, including:

 – High availability challenges between internet service providers

 – Latency issues impacting connectivity performance

 – Exposure to web-based and email-borne threats

 – Need for stronger perimeter protection

 – Increased concern around Zero-Day attacks and advanced malware

The bank needed a solution that could improve both network resilience and threat prevention without compromising operational continuity.

The Solution

Designed and implemented a layered perimeter security architecture using Forcepoint technologies to strengthen protection across the bank’s internet-facing environment.

The solution included:

 – Deployment of Forcepoint Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) for perimeter  -protection and improved traffic control

 – Implementation of Forcepoint Web Security to secure user web access and internet browsing

 – Deployment of Forcepoint Email Security Gateway (ESG) to protect against malicious and suspicious email threats

 – Full integration with sandboxing / Advanced Malware Defense (AMD) solutions for deeper inspection and Zero-Day threat detection

 – Improved architecture to support high availability and better ISP resilience

This created a stronger, more intelligent security posture capable of defending against both known and emerging threats.
